A safe place to be yourself.
Do you struggle with feeling invisible? Do you sometimes feel like you don't belong? Are you exploring or questioning your identity? Are you in a time of transition and upheaval? Are you feeling the weight of what's happening in the world? Are you having difficulty in your relationships? Feeling overwhelmed by being in the caretaker role?
You are not alone. I help people get through times of stress by helping them connect to the wisdom of their body and mind. Whether you are dealing with past traumatic events or recent stressors, we all have wounded parts of ourselves that need attention and care. I enjoy helping people explore these parts with curiosity and compassion. I help people heal their wounds and live a life with greater awareness, harmony and balance.
I provide individual and family counseling to adolescents ages 12 and older and adults. With over 19 years of experience, my specialties include LGBTQIA+ issues, traumatic stress, parenting issues, life transitions, grief/loss, family members of alcoholics/addicts, and school/college related issues.
I believe in building a strong, therapeutic relationship with my clients. My approach is warm, accepting, and strengths-based. I draw from a variety of treatment modalities including Trauma Resiliency Model, Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness/Acceptance practice. I exclusively offer telehealth therapy sessions in the state of New York.
I take insurance through Headway and am currently paneled with Aetna, Optum/United Healthcare, Cigna, Oxford and Oscar Health. I also take Excellus/BCBS. If you are covered with insurance that I am not currently yet taking, I can provide you with a superbill.
